HERD ASSESSMENT
Assess your herd in the paddock, looking at the multiple, external attributes, of about 70 animals, and the pre grazing and post grazing residuals of the herd and the quality and quantity of the current ration.
From the collated information we can discuss the situation and what can be done to optimise it.
Attributes include condition, coat, rumen, manure, the chews, the happy lines, behaviour.
HERD TEST ANALYSIS
Analyse the herd test result, through information from 3rd party access in MINDA-Live. Break down the production on daily production, average daily production and estimated 305 days in milk production. Looking at trends between production and components, production and values ($ worth) and much more. Useful to evaluate your herd strengths and weaknesses.
CONSULTANCY VISIT
Will do the herd assessment as above, and plan/budget for 6 to 8 weeks. Look at the pasture maturity and quality and provide a short-term feed budget, that aims to improve, what is needed, when needed. This can be increasing pasture cover, raise the residual level, lift the body condition of the skinniest cows, and the like.
FULL CONSULANCY PACKAGE
Providing a minimum 3-year strategy and 1 detailed annual plan per year, tracking the grass cover, growth, quality, feed usage, milking herd size and milk production, to ensure we meet the target, or adjust the strategy pro-actively within the budget.
INTERGRATING THE PHYSICAL BUDGET, INTO THE CASHFLOW, AND TRACK THE PROGRESS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON!
Regular scheduled consultancy visits, as above are included in the package. Between 6 and 10 visits per year, depending on the clients requirements.
Accurate budgeting is more often asked for, by banks and accountants. I provide that service by linking the physical with the financial and finding solutions through optimum efficiency and conversion, setting key performance indicators, and contributing to the meetings with the bank and/or accountant.
